This British Council exhibition was the largest and most important exhibition of British art to have been sent overseas since World War II. It was also shown at the Hermitage Museum, Leningrad from 4 July - 2 August 1960. It comprised 141 works and Wilson was represented by four paintings:

P64 Rome from the Ponte Molle (no. 13)
P110 Holt Bridge on the River Dee (no. 14)
P111 The Valley of the Dee with Chester in the Distance (no. 15)
P152A Snowdon from Llyn Nantlle (no. 16)
