The exhibition comprised a selection of works from the larger exhibition held at the Royal Academy, London in 1964 [London 1964-65]. This in turn was a selection from an exhibition held in 1963 at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts [Richmond 1963]. It included six paintings by or ascribed to Wilson, five of which remain in the collection of the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven:
