Richard Hulse, 1727-1805
Richard Hulse was a Justice of the Peace and held the office of Sheriff of Kent in 1768. Between 1799 and 1805 he was Deputy Governor of the Hudson Bay Company. He lived at Baldwins and Blackheath, both in Kent. Hulse owned three paintings by Wilson:
P64A A View of the Tiber with Rome in the Distance, Yale Center for British Art, New Haven;
P138C The West Belvedere at Hadrian's Villa, Gloucester City Museum and Art Gallery, and probably
P118B Lake Albano, The Provost and Fellows of Eton College.
