Vol. 123, no. 940, pp. 410-14, pls 23-27. Using newly discovered evidence, the article confirms Wilson's affirmation that he 'admired Gaspard for composition and sentiment.' It demonstrates that, at intervals spanning more than a decade, Wilson executed four different pictures which all derive specifically from a single prototype by Gaspard Dughet:
