Steep crags, tufted with bushes, with falls plunging down them. A building is partly seen above at the upper right.

The use of wash is highly unusual for Wilson and it may be that the first recorded owner of the drawing, the watercolourist Paul Sandby (c.1730-1809), was responsible for adding it to the underlying black chalk - or even that the entire drawing is by Sandby.
