The Welsh Outlook, subtitled A Monthly Journal of National Social Progress, was published from 1914 to 1933. Volume 10, Number 11 (November 1923) contained the articles 'Richard Wilson, Esq., R.A. - The Master and the Man' by Isaac J. Williams, Keeper of the Art Collections, National Museum of Wales, Cardiff, pp. 287-88; and 'Penegoes Rectory: The Birthplace of Richard Wilson, R.A.' by Evelyn Lewes, pp. 288-90. A supplement that month also included a reproduction of John Taylor's copy of Mengs's portrait of Wilson. The articles were published to mark the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales, held at Mold in 1923, which included an 'Arts and Crafts Exhibition' with more than 20 works by or ascribed to Wilson.
