Editorial (unsigned). The editorial was written in response to the destruction of P90B The Destruction of Niobe's Children by enemy action earlier in 1944. It examines the status and mutual relationships of other versions of the painting, notably P90A, as well as the oil and bodycolour D369, ascribed to Wilson, and it critiques Reynolds's famous stricture on P90 made in his Discourse XIV [Reynolds, Discourses]
