117 pages, unillustrated. This catalogue was one of a series produced to replace that of 1929. The first edition appeared in 1946. In the years between then and the present publication many pictures including some Wilsons were transferred to the Tate Gallery. In 1959 the following five Wilsons were listed at the National Gallery (pp. 105-109):
