Critical commentary
15(r): Clements noted that the sculpture bears some resemblance to the badly damaged torso of Menelaus, now known as Pasquino, at the corner of Palazzo Braschi, Rome - a Roman copy of a Hellenistic original. The same piece seen from another angle appears on p. 19(r) of this sketchbook (D280/18)
