Vol. 106, no. 736, pp. 337-39 The article discusses D360 A View of Hounslow Heath, London, which had been ascribed to Gainsborough for over 100 years. Hayes emphasises that the drawing 'is an important addition to the small number of Wilson drawings surviving [from] that date after his return from Italy in 1757 or 1758.' The medium, location, context and related paintings are explored and two of the latter reproduced - P131 (fig. 38) and P131B (fig. 37).
