Critical commentary
There is a sketch of a seated male figure verso. This drawing and D68
Still Life with Flask
, The British Museum (1953,0509.5) are both early, most probably executed during Wilson's sojourn in Italy. Both are rare in his output as examples of still-life rather than landscape and they reflect a style of modelling in light and shade then current in Venice.
