Henry Scipio Reitlinger was an art historan and collector of Old Master drawings, Oriental porcelain and Renaissance ceramics. His publications included Old Master Drawings, a Handbook for Amateurs and Collectors (1922). He left much material - both ceramics and drawings - to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. His posthumous sale included a version of The Gypsies, formerly in the Fairfax Murray collection, A Road near the Ramparts of a Town from the Sandby collection and four other drawings by Wilson, including D353 Figures and Deer by a wooded Lake (Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Queen's University, Kingston, Canada) and possibly D244 The Falls at Tivoli, Yale Center for British Art, Paul Mellon Collection, New Haven.
