James Roberts was a landscape printmaker, who engraved The White Monk (published by John Boydell in 1765 as 'Engraved from the Original Picture by Mr. Richard Wilson') and A View in Italy after Wilson. Impressions of both prints are at the British Museum (E17 and E16 respectively) and an unfinshed related etching of the latter is at the National Museum Wales (E16A).
