Description
Two figures, one seated, one standing, are engaged in conversation in the left foreground of a classical landscape. Behind them is a hillock with foliage and trees and further to the right a river winds into the distance, where a castle stands on a hilltop.

In an old gold-edged mount set into a more modern, cut-out mount. Slightly foxed.
