Gloucester City Museum & Art Gallery has one of the largest collections of works by or after Wilson in Britain, mostly from the collection of the late Stanley Marling. In celebration of the tercentenary of Wilson's birth these were exhibited together in 2014 for the first time in more than 30 years. Works by Gainsborough and William Turner of Oxford were also shown.
